If you’ve searched for laundry service pricing in Marbella, you’ve probably hit a wall. Most local services hide their rates behind “contact us for a quote” forms, and the ones that publish prices use different units — per bag, per kilogram, per garment, per month — so comparison is hard.
We run a laundry pickup and delivery service in Marbella (WashMe), and we publish our rates openly. This guide explains how Marbella laundry pricing actually works, what’s typical across the market, and what to watch out for.
The three pricing models
Costa del Sol laundry services use three pricing models — sometimes all three at once for different service types.
1. Per-bag flat rate. You fill a standard bag, you pay a set price. Mr Kliin, one of the main English-speaking services in Marbella, publishes €60 for a large Wash & Fold bag (about two loads’ worth). Simple, predictable, but expensive if your bag is under-filled.
2. Per-kilogram. The laundry weighs your wet load and charges by weight. This is what WashMe uses publicly — €5.75/kg with volume discounts up to €53 for a 10kg bag. The per-kg model is the fairest: you pay for exactly what you bring, and if your bag is lightly loaded the cost reflects it. International operators like Laundryheap also use a per-lb/kg model.
3. Per-garment. For dry cleaning and specialty items (suits, dresses, jackets), services quote per item. Mr Kliin publishes “from €3/garment”; most Marbella dry cleaners fall in the €3–€15 per item range depending on fabric and complexity.

Pricing WashMe publishes
For context on the per-kg model, WashMe’s public pricing on our homepage:
- Up to 5kg: €5.75/kg
- 10kg package: €53 total (€5.30/kg effective — a volume discount)
Pickup and delivery is free within our 27-neighborhood service area (Marbella through Torremolinos). Dry cleaning is priced per garment — WhatsApp us with what you have and we’ll quote.
For Airbnb hosts and hotels, we use different pricing — recurring plans based on property volume. There’s no published rate because the right number for a three-bedroom Airbnb with six turnovers a month is genuinely different from a six-bedroom villa with twelve. We quote based on actual volume.
Hidden fees to watch for
Costa del Sol services vary a lot on the “small print” side:
- Minimum order. Laundryheap requires $35 (~€32) minimum. Some local services require €30–€50 minimums. If you’re just washing a shirt and two pairs of jeans, a per-bag service will fit that into a full bag anyway.
- Pickup / delivery fees. Most local Marbella services include free pickup within their area, but some charge €5–€15 for anything outside their tight coverage. Check your postcode before ordering.
- Express surcharges. The +50% for same-day is normal. Watch for services that charge express on anything returned within 48 hours — that’s a pricing gotcha.
- Fabric softener / detergent upcharges. Some services bill extra for specialty detergents or softeners. For linens this doesn’t matter (you don’t want softener on towels anyway), but if you’re fussy about a specific detergent, ask.
- Stain treatment as upsell. Ask whether stain pre-treatment is included in the standard service or billed separately. WashMe includes it as standard; some services charge €2–€5 per treated item.
What per-kg pricing covers in practice
A rough guide for what fits into standard per-kg weights:
- 1kg — 5–7 shirts, or a handful of tea towels, or about one bath towel.
- 3kg — a week’s laundry for one person.
- 5kg — a week’s laundry for a couple, or the linen from one bed after a guest stay.
- 10kg — two or three weeks’ family laundry, or a full Airbnb turnover (bed + bath + pool).
At €5.30–€5.75/kg, a 10kg full-service wash is €53–€58 at WashMe. That’s in line with Mr Kliin’s €60 per-bag flat rate — but with per-kg you only pay for what’s actually in the bag, so a lightly-loaded week is cheaper with us and a very full week is cheaper with a flat-rate service.
When is a subscription worth it?
For Airbnb hosts and hotels, recurring plans usually work out cheaper than one-off pickups — the economics favour volume. WashMe’s host plans start once you’re at three or more turnovers per month; below that, per-kg one-offs are usually better value.
For residents, a recurring weekly or fortnightly service saves time more than money. If your household does 5–10kg a week, paying €30–€50 to have it picked up, washed, folded, and returned isn’t a budget breaker — but it is an afternoon back.
