Nagüeles runs on the school clock

Twice a day the slope between the Golden Mile and Sierra Blanca belongs to the school run. Several international schools sit on this side of Marbella, and around 8:30 — then again at afternoon pick-up — the climb through Nagüeles slows to a crawl. We plan around it: same-day morning collections go in after 9:30, and the standard 19:00–21:00 evening window misses both waves entirely.

The hill holds two kinds of housing. The lower streets, just above the Golden Mile, are long-established apartment communities with big gardens and a staffed portería, where leaving the bag with the porter settles it. Above the bypass begin the gated villa roads: Sierra Blanca, Marbella Hill Club and the Camoján corridor up toward Cascada de Camoján. In that upper half we usually deal with housekeepers: handover at the service entrance, with a WhatsApp photo and piece count at collection and delivery, so the owner can follow it all from abroad. Villa weeks run heavy here; a 25 kg load of guest bedding, pool towels and family clothes sits squarely in our €6.49/kg band.

The route climbs the full height of the hill and ends at the last gated entrances below the Nagüeles pine forest and its picnic ground, where the tarmac stops. For coded gates, put the pedestrian code in the booking or have your staff warn security once; after that, the standard 24–48 hour turnaround applies the same up here as on the coast.
