Artola and Cabopino, the quiet end of our eastern route
Artola never built a centre, and the people who live here like it that way. Above the A-7, Artola Alta is rows of golf-adjacent townhouses and low apartment blocks wrapped around Cabopino Golf. Below it, Artola Baja runs through pine woodland to the protected Artola dunes, where wooden boardwalks cross to the beach past the Torre Ladrones watchtower; Cabopino's small marina marks the neighbourhood's far corner. With no shops to speak of, every collection here is a doorstep job.
The townhouse communities around the golf course share pedestrian gates. Put the gate code in your booking, or name a spot by the entrance, and the driver confirms each handover with a WhatsApp photo. Down in Baja the lanes are so quiet that a stop rarely takes a full minute. And because our counter on Av. del Golf in Riviera del Sol sits two A-7 exits to the east, Artola is a short detour for us rather than a planned trip — handy when a duvet cannot wait for the next scheduled run.
Most clients here are year-round households with a steady weekly bag; eight kilos of family washing falls in the €6.99/kg band. One seasonal warning: in July and August the only road down to Cabopino port fills with beach traffic by midday, so Baja afternoons can slip. The 19:00–21:00 evening window never does.
