Miraflores works by community gate, not front door

Almost everything in Miraflores was built in phases: rows of townhouses and low-rise blocks climbing the hill around the Miraflores Golf course, most behind a shared gate with the parking inside. Collections follow that layout. The driver stops at your phase entrance and you meet him there, or the bag waits at an agreed spot inside the gate and we photograph the handover. Every booking needs two things — the phase name and a dropped pin — because several communities here carry the Miraflores name and a satnav cannot tell them apart.

Geography does the rest. Our machines run at Av. del Golf 25 in Riviera del Sol, one hill over, so the drive into Miraflores takes a few minutes. Plenty of clients here never book a van at all: the counter is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00, which suits small loads that would not reach the €49.50 free-collection threshold. Hand the bag over on a shopping run and pick it up folded a day or two later.

The clientele splits roughly in half. Year-round owners, mostly British and Scandinavian, send a weekly household bag plus the duvets once winter arrives. Golf lets around the course change guests weekly, and their linen runs on the standard 24–48 hour cycle. Drivers orient by the El Zoco centre in neighbouring Calahonda, and access questions get settled on WhatsApp before the route leaves.
